Kaali lives a middle class life with his sister Seeta in a shanty house. He works at a small train station nearby with an engineer called Vinay. Deva, from a village in Bihar comes to the city in Culcutta with Dadaji for his medical treatment. He meets his friends from the village, who are working hard to earn their living.
