Four children from the city move to a village close by, for a fun-filled vacation and end up finding answers to many of the hitherto unanswered questions that they had always harboured in their anxious young minds. They learn moral values and what life is all about, outside of their regimented school environment and how to handle it like young adults. The film starts with a clash between the offering of the routine morning prayers of the Muslim cleric and his neighboring Hindu priest. The Muslim cleric is vexed with the Hindu priest but is more bothered about his son, who is a good friend of his and pays regular visits to the temple. He scolds and punishes Janu several times and warned him that he may be cursed to hell if he continues this. The cleric loses his temper when he comes to know that his son has participated in the annual Hindu mythological play, Ramleela, and played the role of the Hindu God Hanuman. Bhadranna approaches him with the marriage proposal and Ranga Rao jumps on that and immediately agrees. Later, a film producer approaches him with an offer for Shailaja to act in a movie. Ranga Rao thinks that acting in films would be more lucrative than marrying her off to Bhadranna. He first successfully creates clashes between lovers and convinces Shailaja to act in a movie and leaves with her to the city. Venkat also leaves for Vizag to his uncle's place. Infuriated Bhadranna kidnaps Shailaja from a shooting spot and tries to change her mind about marrying him. Movie producer gets tensed as the shooting was paused and Ranga Rao advises him to approach Venkat as he believes Venkat still loves Shailaja. Venkat agrees and fights with Bhadranna for Shailaja.
