"Krishna Murthy (Sivaji) is an atheist who travels to Annavaram on the severe insistence of his aunt (Rama Prabha). Sailaja (Laila) is an extremely religious girl who wants to go to USA for further studies. She is also traveling to Annavaram to get blessings of Lord Satyanarayana. Krishna Murthy and Sailaja happen to share the same Berth in the train. When they arrive at Annavaram, they are forced to share the same room as husband and wife (Mr. & Mrs Sailaja Krishna Murthy) due to the local room-allotment rules. Due to certain incident, Sailaja and Krishna Murthy are separated in Annavaram. Each one of them do not know whereabouts of other person. The story begins with Balu (Naveen) who drops out of engineering college but then he is handsome, smart and well mannered. He has father who is quite friendly but a teacher mother (Sudha) who is quite strict. Life goes on for Balu until he meets Priya (Pavani) who happens to be the daughter of the very influential and rich Indira Devi (Asha Saini), the industrialist. As expected, Indira Devi detests the relationship and from then on tries in her own way to convince Priya that Balu is after her wealth and not her love. The truth is, it will be Indira who will lose the control over the entire property as soon as Priya gets married.
