Vishnu (Mammootty)is a rich businessman, happily married to innocent Seetha (Saritha). Vishnu is a flirt and always interested in having affairs with multiple partners. However, most of his plans did always become unsuccessful. He pretends to love Ragini(Shyama) and assures her to marry her. But his intentions are different. He starts having affair with a young and beautiful Revathi (Lizy Priyadarshan). He also gets infatuated by the newly appointed steno Rose Mary (Urvashi) at his office. But every time, he fails to reach his target. He is so lascivious and a womanizer who even gets attracted to a teenage girl (Suma Jayaram). The situation gets worsened after he joins a team with Thomas Chacko (Thilakan) and Murali. Murali introduces Vishnu to a new girl Indhu (Maathu) who is an orphan. Indu is childlike and innocent and she blindly believes Murali. She went off with Vishnu to his house. Vishnu, eagerly waiting for a sexual intercourse, gets distracted and disappointed by Indhu's genuine nature. The Climax is reached when Vishnu's mother (Sukumari), Malathi and her father arrive at Vishnu's bungalow. Vishnu manages to make his family believe that Indhu is his illegitimate daughter. But he had to face the dangerous consequences that awaited him. Vishnu's family accepted Indhu as his daughter and took her to the ancestral home. Vishnu is completely bewildered and disappointed as he needs to return Indhu to Murali. Vishnu changes his mind and determines not to give Indhu back to them. Passenger is based on two characters, who never had anything to do with each another, who come into each other's lives. The movie shows the events that follow. The moment the train crosses the Chalakudy bridge he dozes off. And he wakes up at a particular point. All this happens with utmost precision as if programmed by someone. He is someone who fights for social justices for the benefit of everyone and shirks from any publicity gained by it. Nandan Menon (Dileep), who is an advocate, stands for truth and justice. He respects the law and always thinks of the welfare of the people around him. His wife Anuradha (Mamta Mohandas) is a bold reporter who works for private news channel Right TV. Maranchara is a small fictitious coastal village. A private company has been awarded rights to mine nuclear fuel from the coast in Maranchar by Home Minister Thomas Chacko (Jagathy Sreekumar). There are a political sex scandal and a legal battle within which Minister Chacko, Nandan Menon, Anuradha Nandan and Thankamma (a local leader) are involved. The plot takes a turn when Anuradha obtains a video clip of the minister collaborating with police and corporates. They plan to kill innocent people occupying land with potential mineral resources. Nandan is kidnapped by gangsters working for the minister to lure Anuradha into returning the video. By sheer coincidence, Sathyanath gets involved. Unlike normal bystanders, he and Driver Nair (Nedumudi Venu) decide to join the couple in the fight to save the people of Maranchara, Nandan Menon, and Anuradha. more»
