However, the peasants refused to give up their ancestral land as they smelled foul play and this led to a clash between them and the authorities. Their passionate yet tormented romance lays the groundwork for Dr. Bose and his wife (Roopa Ganguly) to repair their relationship while Dr. Bose simultaneously self-destructs his nascent, doomed affair.\n\nThe third and final story occurs in the south Indian city of Kochi where the Nair family confronts the sudden loss of a nuclear family member who died serving in the Indian military. However, the investigation is led by a police officer, Banerjee, who seems more distracted by his prejudices towards the suspects rather than the merits of the case. The murder in the film takes place during the staging of a play called A Perfect Relationship. The play is an official Indian adaptation of Doric Wilson s play. Sameer Thakur, who plays Surya in the film, has co-written the adaptation along with Arushi Singh, who plays Ivana Grewal in the film. Darshall Lall is a gangster with many political connections. And it is for this reason that no police officer has dared to arrest Lall or any of his men. But when Public Prosecutor, Janki Rai's rickshaw-driver husband, Raghunath Prasad Rai, witnesses Lall's son, Surendra Pal, kill Ram Mohan Tripathi, Lall's son is arrested and brought before the court. Lall's offer to bribe Janki are in vain, and as a result Surendra is convicted and sentenced to die. Lall swears to break up the Rai to avenge the death of his son, and finds out that Raghunath could be brought with money, and he induces him as such, and inducts him in a life of crime. Money and an easy life corrupt Raghunath and he takes to coming home late, and drinking alcohol. One day Raghunath is arrested by the police and held for a court hearing. During that night Lall arranges his escape, however, Raghunath's car meets with an accident, and he dies, leaving Janki widowed and to single-handedly bring up Raghunath's younger brother, Sunil. She ensures Sunil gets a good education and after several years he becomes a police officer. His superiors are impressed with his performance and assign him a special case of stopping smuggling activities, which Sunil accepts with great pride. And then there is the Shiven-Gia yuppie marriage fiasco, with the groom with the cold-feet. The fifth story is of the stable married couple - Vinay-Seema, whose 15 year marriage is threatened when the husband wants more than just boring, suburban life. The sixth couple's story is of Isha-Sohail as a rural couple unable to give vent to their passion.
